World's First Oil Well: On our journey, we'll also make a stop at the first oil well ever drilled in Azerbaijan and indeed, the world. Drilled in 1846, it began producing oil on July 14, 1848. This well was crucial in advancing oil production, paving the way for the industry as we know it today. Additionally, we'll pass by pumpjacks that were constructed during the Soviet era and are still in operation today.

Ateshgah - Fire Temple: Azerbaijan is known as the "land of fire," a title rooted in its history. For centuries, the Absheron region was marked by flames erupting from the ground. News of this natural phenomenon spread quickly, leading Hindu Brahmanites and Persian Zoroastrians to construct a grand temple in the first century BC, which they named Ateshgah. Positioned at the crossroads of ancient trade routes, Azerbaijan was a bustling hub where merchants frequently sought shelter and rest. To accommodate travelers, a magnificent caravanserai was built in Absheron. Yanar Dag: Yanardag is one of the enchanting sites in Azerbaijan. For centuries, flames have erupted from the earth, earning the mountain the name Yanar Dag, meaning "Burning Mountain."
